“…if you don’t STAND for something, you’ll FALL for anything…”
Well, I’ve decided to RUN for something:
On May 3rd, I will be running a marathon in Cincinnati in support of an incredibly worthy organization in downtown Kingsport, TN.
Like so many good programs for great causes, I’m asking you to support me with a donation to Hope Haven. Of course, Every penny received goes to support the on-going needs and programs of Hope Haven.
Thanks to the great folks at the GoTriCities Network, you can go online and donate, as well as learn more about Hope Haven.
No amount is too large or too small, particularly none too large. Hope Haven is proud to be launching a new website in early May (kudos again to the GoTriCities Network). I will report back to that website with the marathon results and much more importantly, how much was raised to help those in need. Please visit the website regardless and see how Hope Haven has changed lives and what Hope Haven is doing in the community.
I am not one who is quick to forward an email but if you know of anyone: friend, employer, co-worker, family, or group who might like to help support me and support what Hope Haven does, please forward this on to any and all as you see fit.
Thanks,
Jeremy Lively
Unknown to many, Hope Haven Ministries is a faith-based, temporary shelter for the homeless that has been quietly changing peoples’ lives for over 30 years. Hope Haven is unique by giving those in need a ‘hand-up,’ not a ‘hand-out.’
The mission statement of Hope Haven is simple: Helping the Homeless Help
Themselves.
So at the risk of terrible alliteration, my personal mission on May 3rd will be: Help Hope Haven to Help.
Hope Haven Ministries, Inc. is a not-for-profit organization recognized as tax-exempt under the Internal Revenue Code section 501(c)(3). Funded entirely by faith-based organizations, businesses, and individuals. Hope Haven does not receive any state or federal assistance.
